The M4A4 | Howl was originally released as part of The Huntsman Weapon Case in May 2014. Shortly after launch, Valve discovered the artwork infringed on third-party copyright and reclassified the skin to Contraband rarity, removing it from the case's drop pool. It is the only Contraband-rarity skin in CS2, which has made it one of the most iconic and valuable items in the game's history.
