Genuine Chroma Pin

The Genuine Chroma Pin was originally obtained as a physical collectible pin sold by Valve or at official CS events, with a redeemable code that granted the matching in-game Genuine version. In CS2, you can no longer unlock it from a case or drop, so most players get it through the Steam Community Market or third-party marketplaces if listings are available.

There are two versions to know: the standard Chroma Pin and the Genuine Chroma Pin. The Genuine version came from redeeming a code included with a physical pin, while non-genuine pins were typically obtained through Valve’s collectible pin system. On the current market, availability depends on existing player-owned supply rather than new drops.

The Genuine Chroma Pin is relatively uncommon because Genuine pins were tied to physical merchandise and limited redemption supply. It is not usually considered the single rarest CS2 pin overall, since rarity also depends on how many codes were redeemed and how often owners choose to sell. Compared with standard in-game pins, Genuine versions are generally harder to find.

Its main distinction is the Genuine quality tag, which identifies it as redeemed from an official physical pin code rather than acquired through regular in-game methods. The Chroma design also links it to the Chroma weapon finish theme, which makes it more recognizable than generic service-style pins. Because it is a collectible rather than a weapon skin, it functions as a profile item instead of changing a gun’s appearance.
