Cache Map Coin

Cache is a classic bomb defusal map set in an abandoned industrial site with a Chernobyl-style theme. It is well known in Counter-Strike for its simple layout, fast mid control, and strong emphasis on coordinated executes. The Cache Map Coin is a collectible tied to that map rather than a weapon skin or gameplay item.

Valve has not confirmed a return date for Cache in CS2. Cache was a community-created map by FMPONE and has historically required updates and reimplementation before joining the active map pool. Because of that, its return depends on both technical updates for CS2 and Valve’s decision to include it.

There is no confirmed map that Cache would replace in CS2. If Cache returns to the Active Duty pool, Valve would decide which map rotates out based on competitive balance and map pool goals. In previous Counter-Strike updates, maps such as Train, Cobblestone, Dust2, and Overpass have all been rotated at different times.

In CS2, coins come from several sources depending on the type. Service Medals are earned by reaching Global General rank and resetting your profile level, while Major coins are bought during a Major event and upgraded by completing Pick'Em challenges. Collectible coins like the Cache Map Coin are separate inventory items and are typically obtained through the Steam Community Market or player-to-player trading when marketable.
